Village-like Cobble Hill is a laid-back neighborhood that fully encompasses the best of what Brooklyn has to offer. Court Street is the main thoroughfare and houses a bevy of cozy cafes, charming watering holes, and humble but social-media-worthy eateries. Its Cobble Hill commercial retail space tenants an eclectic mix of mom-and-pop shops and old-school tenants, as well as some nationally-known fashion retailers.

Thanks to an influx of immigrants from Ireland, Italy, and the Middle East during the 20th century, the neighborhood also features generations-old family-run stores and businesses alongside trendy new shops. Atlantic Avenue, the northern border of the neighborhood, features one of New York City’s most extensive collections of Middle-Eastern shops, some of which have been there for decades. Families and young professionals reside in many of the brownstone and single-family homes that line the leafy streets. The homes tend to be large brick townhouses and brownstones with well-maintained facades and window boxes.
