Upper East Side

Manhattan’s upscale community

One of New York City’s earliest planned communities, the Upper East Side is defined by its elegance and old-world sophistication. It is the proud home to “Museum Mile,” a walkable span of some of the world’s most respected and prestigious cultural institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim. Along Third Avenue, between Second and Lex, residents can enjoy trendy food and beverage spots as well as popular retailers. The neighborhood also provides access to the east side of Central Park, a New York treasure that both locals and visitors have delighted in for more than a century.

Known for its beauty and opulence – the Upper East Side is one of the most upscale areas of New York and is popular among today’s filmmakers. People from all over the world recognize the neighborhood from television shows like Gossip Girl, Sex and the City, and I Love Lucy, as well as movies like The Devil Wears Prada, The Great Gatsby, and Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
