Nathaniel Mallon and Brendan Thrapp from Verada Retail represented the landlord in leasing two spaces on the ground floor of 409 Eastern Parkway, a mixed-use apartment building with four hundred units in New York’s Brooklyn borough.
Leveraging Verada’s exclusive marketing platform – which involves maximizing the visibility of each property via social media, digital advertising, market and direct outreach, as well as procuring and vetting quality tenants – the Verada team identified two in-demand tenants for the neighborhood.
The first, Cornbread, is a “fast-casual farm-to-table restaurant focusing on authentic savory soul food and the use of innovative technology to provide a unique and family-friendly dining experience.” The establishment proudly sources all of its ingredients from local farmers and shops. The most recent opening at its Brooklyn location brings the total number of Cornbread locations to three.
The second, JAG-ONE, offers physical and occupational therapy to patients of all ages. Opening their doors in Prospect Heights adds another location to their 100+ locations across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
After identifying the needs of each business, Verada Retail searched for and found locations that could accommodate ongoing growth in the neighborhood. Hundreds of new multi-family units are currently either under construction or proposed for the area. Verada Retail is excited to have successfully identified two tenants who they know will bring value to the community’s growing population. It’s a win-win situation for both the tenants and their potential clientele.
Jag-One and Cornbread join an expanding list of retailers in the community and will add to rich neighborhood attractions such as the Brooklyn Museum, Botanic Garden, Grand Army Plaza Greenmarket, and Prospect Park
